About This Opportunity

Eyonzy Recruitment is working exclusively with a well-established British operator in the offshore wind support sector to appoint an experienced New Build Site Manager. Our client operates a fleet of specialist vessels servicing offshore wind installations and is currently managing the construction of a new Service Operation Vessel at a major shipyard in India. This is a senior, business-critical appointment the Site Manager will serve as our client's primary on-site representative throughout the build programme.

About the Vessel and Programme

The vessel under construction is a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) — a specialist offshore wind support vessel designed to accommodate offshore technicians and facilitate walk-to-work operations on offshore wind farms. SOVs are complex, high-specification vessels built to demanding class and owner requirements, and the build programme reflects that complexity. Our client has a dedicated team of eight specialists already on site; the New Build Project Manager will be the ninth member and the senior management authority within that team.

The Role

This is a traditional site supervisory role. The New Build Site Manager will work with the Project Manager of the entire construction programme, maintaining the project schedule, identifying bottlenecks before they become delays, and driving progress across all departments. You will be responsible for ensuring all onsite operations are handled in a timely fashion whilst being respected by the yard, fair in your approach, but unambiguous in your expectations.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include maintaining the project plan and schedule, meetings with the shipyard management team, coordinating across engineering, outfitting, electrical and paint disciplines, escalating issues to the Project Manager and Head of Projects ashore, and protecting our client's commercial and quality interests throughout the build.

Contract Terms

Contract duration: 12–18 months, with the potential for extension or transition to a permanent position depending on programme requirements and mutual fit.
